Asics Gel Pulse 17 Men's Road Running Shoe. (Midnight/Yamabuki)
The GEL-PULSE 17 shoe is designed to provide the comfort you need for runs, the gym, and anything in between. To improve the underfoot cushioning experience, Asics added 2mm of foam to the midsole. This cushioning material is composed of Asics FF BLAST and GEL technologies, for a soft and comfortable running experience.

Features

Pronation: Designed For Neutral / Underpronation

Neutral: See left image.
Foot Type: High arches
Push Off: The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
How your foot contacts the ground: The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Underpronation: See right image.
Foot Type: Low arches or flat feet
Push Off: Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
How your foot contacts the ground: The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
Materials & Technology:
Engineered mesh upper: A mesh material that reduces the need for additional overlays.
FF BLAST cushioning: Midsole foam that provides a blend of cloud-like cushioning and a responsive ride.
Rearfoot GEL technology: Shock-attenuating material placed in the midsole of the shoe for cushioning and shock absorption.
AHARPLUS heel plug rubber: ASICS' pinnacle high abrasion resistant rubber located in the heel area that is approximately three times more durable than standard outsole rubbers.
